ADHD & Autism referrals

We receive alot of requests for both child and adult right to choose pathways for a diagnosis of ADHD.

In the first instance it is helpful to read the information on the UK ADHD website at https://adhduk.co.uk/right-to-choose/

This will provide the information on the companies with current open waiting lists for ADHD or ASD. It will clearly say whether they are accepting children or adults.

You do not need an appointment with a GP for a referral and a referral can be sent by the Medical Secretarial team.

In the first instance please click the above link and review the different providers. Once you have made your decision on which provider you’d like to be referred to please review their website and referral criteria as they will have their own questionnaire that needs to be completed and submitted with a referral form and patient summary. Please print these and put them in an envelope to the Medical Secretaries with a very brief note asking them to kindly refer you/the child to the right to choose ADHD pathway.

For a child they may ask you to get the school to complete the questionnaire also.

Waiting lists are quicker on the right to choose pathway however they are very quickly becoming overwhelmed and sometimes close their lists.

The ADHD website frequently update the providers.

The Medical Secretaries will update you once the referral has been sent.

Thank you
